CAMP 31
Camp 31 was founded in 1908 as a “Saw Mill” general store outside Brewton, Alabama. Camp 31 BBQ was established by Larry Murphy in 1985, and we’ve been serving up mouth-watering authentic southern BBQ ever since.
In June 2022, The AREA 506 Container Village opened the full waterfront experience with a diverse collection of retail shops, a performance space, a waterfront container lounge, food trucks, public art and pop-up activities. All wrapped up in more than 60 shipping containers, celebrating everything that’s cool about Saint John's identity as a Port City.

Where is the RibFest Site?
This year, The RIBFEST 506 will be located at The AREA 506 Waterfront Container Village located at 85 Water Street, Saint John, NB E2L 0B1
What are the event dates and hours?
June 14th & 15th (11 AM - 11 PM) and 16th (11 AM - 6 PM, 2024
Do the vendors accept credit or debit cards?
Most of our vendors will accept cash only.
What is the cost of admission?
Event entry is by donation at the gate.
Please be generous. With your help we can grant a wish!
Are there foods available other than pork ribs?
Yes, there is chicken, pulled pork, brisket, sausage, French fries, Blooming Onions, perhaps beef ribs, and more. There will be desserts from some of our vendors as well.
What entertainment will be featured?
There will be entertainment on the main stage in the AREA 506 container village. Please see our Entertainment section on our website for more info or visit our Facebook page for more information as we provide updates in the coming weeks. There is no extra charge for entertainment.
Are children allowed?
Definitely! Not only are they allowed, but they are also encouraged to attend, minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Are dogs allowed?
We are happy to accomodate Service dogs only howeverthey must be clearly identified as a service dog.
Will There be Parking Available?
Parking lots operate 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday (holidays excluded), and rates are hourly or daily. Garages operate 24/7.
On-street parking, all options (metered, pay & display, pay-by-plate, HotSpot and QR codes) are available at a rate of $2.00 an hour. Meters operate 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday (Holidays excluded). Weekends are free.!
